Experience the pure gold of Clavo Huasca with our 30 times concentrated extract paste made with freshly harvested vine and clean water. Our product is superior to using dried vine and requires only 1 gram where 30 grams of vine would be needed. The paste can be dissolved in water or used as is. Made in cooperation with local friends, we slow boil the Clavo Huasca for many hours to create a thick paste with unmatched potency.
Habitat
Clavo Huasca is a large, woody vine that grows up to 80 meters in length and is indigenous to the Amazon rainforest and other parts of tropical South America. The vine produces small white flowers pollinated by bees and butterflies and flat, elongated bean-like fruits. Its bark and root have a distinctive, clove-like aroma and a cross-section of the vine displays a “Maltese cross” design in the wood. There are two species of plants sold as “clavo huasca” in herbal commerce – the true Tynanthus vine and another, completely different Mandevilla genus vine.
Tribal and Herbal Medicine Uses
Clavo Huasca is highly regarded by the Shipibo-Conibo, Kayapó, and Assurini Indian tribes in the Amazon rainforest as an impotency remedy, for weak erections, and as an aphrodisiac for both men and women. It is also used as an adjunctive ingredient in various ayahuasca recipes to settle the stomach. In Peruvian herbal medicine, Clavo Huasca is widely used as an aphrodisiac for both men and women and an ingredient in herbal formulas for impotency and frigidity. It is also used to treat fever, aching muscles, and arthritis pain. In Brazilian herbal medicine, the plant is called cipó cravo and is used as a remedy for dyspepsia, difficult digestion, intestinal gas, and as an aphrodisiac.
Scientific Information
Clavo Huasca’s aphrodisiac and impotency effects may be due to its high content of eugenol, a chemical compound also found in cloves. Eugenol has been shown to have anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and anesthetic properties. In addition, the vine contains alkaloids, terpenoids, and flavonoids, which may contribute to its medicinal properties.
